Big Men Rising

SATURDAY QUICK HITS

Persons of Interest

CHARLES BASSEY- With Zach Collins out, the Spurs have turned to G-League guy Bassey for back-up C minutes. We've mentioned him a ton and I think even at 18-20 minutes, he's a 14T league add. This guy averaged 26P 16R in the G-League so he can play. He is a solid rebounds/blocks guy and who can pass a little- worth a look specially with the Spurs having 5 games next week.

ALEC BURKS - The vet returned to action and had 15 points off the bench. He's not an add yet as Cade Cunningham didn't play today so we don't know yet if Burks will get regular minutes. But who are we kidding, he's one of Dwayne Casey's favorites so he should get 20 minutes at least. He's a streamer for points for now but if Cade's going to be out long, he's on the radar for possible add.

ALEKSEJ POKUSEVSKI - POKU! He started again and had another 4 blocks in 22 minutes. I've said it before and will say it again, add him (but you might be too late now). Looks like the Thunder's rotation is already stabilizing and Poku will be starting until further notice.

CHRIS BOUCHER - Here we go again. The injury to Precious Achiuwa as I predicted created more minutes for Boucher. With only a rookie Koloko in front of him, I think it would be hard for Nick Nurse to not play Boucher at least 20 minutes a game. Today's line of 20P 12R 2S 1B is inflated by the garbage time points but I definitely think Boucher should be added back in 12-14T leagues.

KYLE ANDERSON -Chris Finch has about had it with De'Angelo Russell and benched him in the end of today's game. Slomo won't be an exciting fantasy prospect but in the past 4 games has done enough to be an end of bench guy in 14-16T leagues. Keep tabs on this TWolves situation.

CAMERON PAYNE, BRUCE BROWN, JEVON CARTER, KILLIAN HAYES - If we are going to make a fantasy equivalent of the Replacements movie, these are the guys. All 4 of these guys could easily be back in the waiver wires when the injured players return, but as of now, I think CP3, Bones Hyland, Jrue Holiday and even Cade Cunningham could miss more time so make sure to roster these guys.

Injury Updates

DONOVAN MITCHELL sprained his ankle at the end of today's game vs the Warriors and with the way it looked, he might have to miss some time for it. CARIS LEVERT was bad today but might have found a way to extend his standard league value. This could also be what DARIUS GARLAND needs to get his season going as he has been really off in the games he has played so far.

✔ I'd keep tabs on the progress of DENNIS SCHROEDER and THOMAS BRYANT. These Lakers are going no where and if these 2 guys return, (they'd be evaluated on Nov 17), they should enter the rotation immediately. Schroder's a 16T league guy at the very least.

Today's Standouts

DE'AARON FOX's magical season continues. He shot 13/19 FG today and is at 54% from the field! He's adding 87% FT shooting to his game which has been inefficient in prior years. I'd say a regression is going to come though I feel he's going to have a career season this year. He's more top 40 than top 25.

STEPH CURRY is the only guy shooting 50-40-90 this year and that's with him taking so many shots. He's still the no.1 player in fantasy this year by a mile. Meanwhile, JAYSON TATUM solidifies his top 5 fantasy status with another great game, he is averaging career highs in PTS, 3PTM, BLKS, FG%, FT%. 🔥🔥

Players in the 1-1-1 club (3PTM-STLS-BLKS)- Kyrie Irving, Andrew Wiggins, Mikal Bridges and JADEN MCDANIELS. Yes, Jaden can be very annoying with his inconsistencies but on average, he's a standard league guy.

JORDAN POOLE was better today while Klay stunk and both of them will continue to pull each other's fantasy values. Poole's not as bad as his 200+ rank is but he's not a Buy player for me. Unless an injury happens, I'd stay clear this season.

Worries

While the optics was bad with DE'ANGELO RUSSELL's benching today, I won't go dropping him. Even if Finch does the impossible and puts him on the bench, he's good enough to return top 100 value with his assists and 3s- it's going to be rough at times though.

KEEGAN MURRAY's dad opened up about personal issues the rookie is dealing with and as we said, we feel bad for him and would expect him to play better as he recovers from it. If you have tons of patience and a strong team, I'd be looking to buy low on him.

✔ PLAYER A- 14.6P 7.3R 0.7B 2.7 TO 55% FG 73% FT

PLAYER B- 12.5P 9.9R 0.7B 0.9 TO 47% FG 73% FT

Player A is DEANDRE AYTON while Player B is ISAIAH STEWART, Stewart's outranking Ayton by 40 spots this year. Ayton will be better, the rebounds should go up specially with how depleted the Suns are- it's buy low moment but he's been a bust this year.
