Friday Quick Hits

Golden State Warrior vs. Orlando Magic
  • Steph's rolling while Klay finding his groove again but the Warriors are now 3-6 and Steve Kerr talked about making changes. I don't know what else he can do with their first 5 already set but let's see.

  • If ever a change is made, I think Jordan Poole should benefit. The guy's been struggling in his bench role so more minutes and usage off the bench will do him and his managers good. Tom's a B2B so if Klay sits, maybe Poole gets going again.

  • This is why Jalen Suggs was must add. He hit his shots today which will not be the case every game but the upside is just really high. I think he can be Marcus Smart with more usage in Orlando.

  • The Bol Bol train hit a road bump today as he was exposed defensively, he'll be fine and I think today was a learning experience for him- he's young so this is normal. I'd only monitor Chuma Okeke for now in case Bol Bol falls off the cliff.

Denver Nuggets vs. OKC Thunder
  • For as much as he has 'struggled', Nikola Jokic is still no.6 ranked player right now. His numbers (today's 8 TOs aside), are almost similar to last year except for PPG and 3PTM. With Jamal and MPJ back, I think he's not going to get to the 27 PPG he had last year but I certainly hope for 23-24 PPG instead of 21 a game.

  • Jamal Murray's starting to play better and he got 32 minutes today from 31 the last game. There would still be injury managing and rust issues, but he should be fine and good buy low.

  • As for Aaron Gordon, good game, actually terrific game and he has had a few of these this year but overall, he's still outside the top 150 so don't go chasing this from him.

  • We talked about SGA in depth and what we said remains true- the guy's just really good and should be an All-Star this year. He's ceiling in fantasy is 1st round (per game) so that makes the risk more worth while. I'd be more picky in trading him or even think twice about doing it with the way he's playing.

  • Poku started over Jalen Williams and at this point, I think OKC's just really experimenting with combos. Poku did fine and if you are in super deep formats, he worth short term add, but I don't expect him to start rest of the season, he'd be back on waivers in no time.

  • OKC's really SGA-Giddey-Dort in that order for now. I'd hold Jalen Williams for a few games to see if his minutes creep back up. The rest are all streamers- with Bazley and Poku as the best among them that can hold short term value.
