Tyrese Maxeyrrrific!

SATURDAY STORMY HITS

STUDS

  • Cade Cunningham (35P-9R-8A-1S-1B) was good again- this time with Jaden Ivey playing. Usage is up to 33% a game from 25% at the start.

  • Tyrese Maxey was perfect in the 1st half, and ended with 44 points on insane 15/20 shooting. Usage from 16% in game 1 to 30% today. Embiid rest helped but Harden's also gave way a bit lately.

  • Anfernee Simons (30P 7-3PTM 5R 7A 1S 1B), Jusuf Nurkic (27P-15R-1S-3B) and Jerami Grant (15P-5R-4A-2S-1B) will all be on super turbo value with Dame out. Safe to say after a couple of games more, all could be sell highs.

  • Rudy Gobert 22-21 game while KAT's playing better too. It took some adjustment but both have found a way to co-exist. KAT's still more of a 2nd rounder to me, but not far off the 1st round range.

  • The Magic obviously cares about Paolo Banchero's 20+ point streak, bringing him back of a blowout to get him to 21 points. He had 7 assists and with no PG, this could be sustainable for him.

  • Caris Levert and Donovan Mitchell hit 41 each and both are also benefiting from Garland's absence. Garland is returning so interesting to monitor how the rotation would be in their next game.

  • Pacers have a lowkey good starting 5. Myles maybe annoying with his injuries but when he plays, he good! Haliburton justifying the 1st round tag while Buddy and Jalen Smith are solid.

  • If you own Keldon- I hate you. More of I'm envious of you. He's going to be the reincarnation of the young Tobias Harris in fantasy.

ROOKIES WATCH

  • Houston finally played with whole roster, and Tari Eason got 15 minutes- not good. I don't think he is a must hold right now. Can't be part of a Sengun saga again this season. I'd move and just hope to pounce when the right time comes.

  • Jeremy Sochan could be the guy you replace Eason with. He's now hit double digits 3 straight games and his line today (13-6-5-1-1) is more of the line we hope to see from him in the best case scenario this year. Good for 14T leagues and up for now.

  • Jaden Ivey and Bennedict Mathurin have slowed down from their early starts- to no one's suprise. Mathurin's still okay, but he wasn't going to score 23 points a game for the rest of the season. Both are still sell players if the right offer comes.

  • Similar to Eason, Walker Kessler might be tough hold. He was out with illness, but he's not getting enough minutes right now. Jalen Duren's doing just enough to get by. He got 23 minutes today- which is the minimum he needs to stay in 14T league conversations.

  • Finally, Shaedon Sharpe starts for Dame and had 14 points. He didn't do anything else though and I'm not going out of the way to add him. He's more of a streamer guy.

WHAT TO DO?

  • Collin Sexton- at least he played today. Didn't do much and his fantasy game isn't really that good either. But if you can wait maybe around 3-4 weeks, he might look better. Dropping him depends on who you can replace him with. If there is a strong player on the wires, go ahead.

  • Isaiah Jackson- 12 minutes will not be enough, but I think he gets more in some games. Luxury hold because the potential return is way worth it compared to Sexton. I have him and I'm still stubbornly holding for now.

  • DeAnthony Melton/Bones Hyland- other struggling guards but both had big games today. I've added Melton back after some strong games. He needs some rests/injuries to really pop but he's shooting better and the steals are back. Hyland's game came in a blowout vs the Jazz, I'm not chasing it.

  • Dennis Smith Jr, Josh Richardson and other replacements- Hold on. DSJ stream train took a rest today but it'll be okay till Rozier returns. With Primo gone, Josh Rich might get bigger role even when Vassell returns. I'd hold to see what happens. Trey Murphy's a hold, Naji Marshall a drop when Zion comes back

  • Isaiah Hartenstein, Onyeka Okongwu- I hold these 2 guys specially Hartenstein. Best not to own both though as low minutes guys are going to be inconsistent. The upside of Hartenstein just too good to just let go.

  • Papa Brook Lopez- the curious case of Brook Lopez. 21st ranked player on 2 3PTM and league leading 4 Blocks a game. Sell high? Sure, if you can get 3rd round value, but you can also just enjoy the ride. Blocks will fall down, but it'll still be among the league's best

OTHER NOTES

  • Jrue Holiday can't find his shot if his life depends on it. 31% FG so far but is the best buy low guy right now if owner panicking.

  • DeAndre Ayton sprained his ankle and Bismack Biyombo started for him. Biyombo was good last year when Ayton sat so he's speculative short term add. Jock Landale's been the primary back up though so it might be a timeshare.

  • Some encouraging signs from Al Horford- stocks still empty but 41 minutes is nice for an old man. He's trending up.

  • Tough to hold on to Brogdon and Derrick White if they are having this tug of war for value. Both are just very low end 14T league options, droppable in standard leagues.

  • Magic went big, no they went humongous giant big lineup with their PGs out. Bol Bol started for Cole Anthony and got 26 minutes. Not the best line, but he's obviously an even bigger add/hold whatever right now. Love this also for Franz Wager who becomes the pseudo PG.
