What Does the Fox Say?

Sunday Quick Hits

RETURNEES

TERRY ROZIER finally came back and with no minutes restrictions at that. DENNIS SMITH JR then sprained his ankle so double whammy for his fantasy value. If you can put him first in you IL+, do that first as we wait what his role would be as LaMelo is also eyeing a return soon.

DE'AARON FOX also came back and hit a logo buzzer beater to win their game today. Goodbye to Davion Mitchell but hold Kevin Huerter even if his numbers and usage would go down with Fox back.

INJURY UPDATES

MITCHELL ROBINSON is out 7-10 days and today Thibs tried to kill ISAIAH HARTENSTEIN by playing him 36 minutes in a B2B. Safe to say, Hartenstein's value is going to skyrocket in the next 2 weeks. Obi Toppin only got 14 minutes but should still be in 16T up leagues watch list or streamer possibilities

CAM JOHNSON's injury seems like a months out kind as it's a meniscus tear so prepare to be without him a while. If you don't have any IL available, it's okay to move on. TORREY CRAIG is the best add at this point though he won't be as good as today every game

PASCAL SIAKAM should also miss some time, CHRIS BOUCHER and PRECIOUS ACHIUWA are adds/holds until further notice.

RUDY GOBERT is in health protocols and while it's not as restricting now compared to before, I expect him to be out a couple of games at least. No adds here but JADEN MCDANIELS will get 📈, while KYLE ANDERSON got 30 minutes starting for Gobert and should get short term boost.

ANFERNEE SIMONS' injury is going to sideline him a while too though DAMIAN LILLARD is close to a return according to reports. I'd continue holding JUSTISE WINSLOW for now while SHAEDON SHARPE is a good streamer until Lillard returns.

GAME NOTES

✔ As much as DOMANTAS SABONIS struggled early in the season, he is still hovering in the top 80. A little improvement in FG/FT% will get him in the top 50 soon.

KEEGAN MURRAY has been struggling, going 9/28 FG in his last 3 with only 10 total rebounds. BUY LOW time. Remember he didn't have a proper training camp due to injury, so there would be an adjustment period here.

PAOLO BANCHERO had a huge game today with 33P-15R and more importantly shot the ball well, including 5/5 from FT range. He's going to inch higher if he can shoot those FTs better. Meanwhile Bol Bol continued to start even with Terrence Ross back- he's going to be the starter as long as he's healthy. It's always okay to explore offers but he's been sensational.

CAM THOMAS is getting minutes off the bench with Kyrie out and while SETH CURRY played, he just not 100% yet. I'd go add Cam and also YUTA WATANABE if you are in deep leagues for now. The Nets look like a different team with Kyrie out- they seem more happy

✔ The Pels were finally healthy and we saw HERB JONES get 33 to TREY MURPHY's 17. Herb had a good game today but I don't expect him to score in double figures a lot if everybody's available. I'll give Trey a couple more games. The starters just played well and that limited his minutes today. But safe to say, don't expect numbers like he produced earlier this season.

ZION WILLIAMSON didn't finish the game with what was reported as 'cramps'. As owners though, even cramps make us worry that he'll miss time and this is why I'd hold on to Trey Murphy for now.

TRAE YOUNG played through his eye issue but then hurt his calf in the game, he returned to gut it out, but it's worth monitoring. Trae's a fast healer though so I'm hoping he'll not miss games.

✔It's getting to the point where you just have to make a decision on ONYEKA OKONGWU. Clint Capela's playing 26 minutes to Okongwu's 18-19 a game and that's just not enough. He's the definition of Luxury stash- drop if your team can't afford it.

✔ The hot JOHN COLLINS is ancient history now. He is averaging 8P 9R in the past 5 games though the minutes have held up. His real value is probably somewhere in between his top 20 start and his current top 100 value which is basically where he was drafted. From SELL HIGH to BUY LOW real quick

✔Can SAM HAUSER carve a role in the Celtics' rotation? I think he is a better version of the Lakers' Matt Ryan but he is just a one-dimensional shooter than you should only think of if you are streaming or in 20T leagues.

✔The Thunder run into a very good Milwaukee team even if Giannis sat this one out. At this point, I've given up chasing who would get actual sustained value from the Thunder outside of SGA, Giddey and Dort. Poku's hurt while the rest don't get consistent minutes to matter. Right now, JRE and Bazley will be my choices given their role and stat set.

✔If you are punting blocks, BOBBY PORTIS should be absolutely a priority for your team. His value is way higher for your team than in other builds. He is quietly producing similar numbers as last season even in a bench role.

JALEN GREEN and KPJ are both struggling the past games, with Jalen actually hurting most fantasy teams the whole season so far. I'd be okay with buying low but make sure that you are aware that the FG% will not improve by much. He won't go 37% whole year, but I don't expect it to go as high as 45%, not this year.

✔ The Spurs-Nuggets game was another total blowout which affected the rotation of both teams. But good to see DEVIN VASSELL continue to play well in limited minutes. TRE JONES owners will again worry about his play but I'll give him a pass due to the blowout game. Just lower your expectation on him and you'll be fine.
